People Hive is supporting a client in Finland in the search for a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join their team and bridge the gap between complex business requirements and cutting-edge technology.

The successful candidate will design and implement scalable data platforms, distributed systems, and high-volume ETL/ELT pipelines. The role provides an opportunity to leverage major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud to deliver tangible business value.

The position involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders and customers and requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on technical execution. The client uses modern data practices including DataOps, DevOps, and Agile methodologies to deliver robust and scalable data solutions.

Critical Requirements

Fluent proficiency in both Finnish and English, written and spoken
Proven experience translating business needs into technical data requirements
Extensive experience designing and operating large-scale data systems
Strong expertise in data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud

Important Requirements

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Solid understanding of data lake architectures and modern data platform technologies
Experience with data governance concepts including Master Data Management (MDM), data catalogs, and data lineage

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt
Hands-on experience with Databricks
Existing cloud certifications
